The Hub at Lexington Oaks held its grand opening last week.
The complex is located at 26967 Halter Loop on the southwest corner of Wesley Chapel and Lexington Oaks boulevards. It sits in front of the Sentosa Lexington Oaks apartments. Six buildings surround an open-air gathering space shaded by decorative artificial trees. The design includes outdoor seating and patios. A covered central courtyard will host community events.
The center opened with several dining and entertainment options already in operation. Farmer’s Milk Café and Bakery is one of the distinctive new tenants. The brand started in Ukraine with more than 20 locations. It opened its first U.S. location in Miami three years ago, followed by Chicago. Wesley Chapel is its third American site. The café serves a signature Kyiv cake with crunchy pastry, buttercream, and hazelnuts. The menu also includes borscht, a traditional Ukrainian soup made with beets, meat stock, and boiled vegetables. The business uses fresh milk from a farm in Okeechobee to make yogurt, coffee drinks, and pastries from scratch. Manager Tatiana Cretiakova said owners Vlad and Liliia Harbar chose Wesley Chapel for its family feel. “It’s a family neighborhood,” she said. “This is where everyone comes, the grandmas, the granddads. They love to drink coffee in the morning, and they love to take home the desserts.”
Another key tenant is The Clubhouse, an indoor golf simulator lounge. The facility has six simulator bays loaded with more than 3,000 courses. Co-owner Mark Ward said customers can play famous courses like Augusta and Pebble Beach. “You can play pretty much anywhere in the world, like Augusta, Pebble Beach. You name the course, and we probably have it,” Ward said. Bays are rented by the hour for one player or a group. Ward, a Wesley Chapel High School and University of Tampa graduate, said the business is a tribute to his father, William. “My dad gave up golf for 30 years to raise a family, and this is kind of our full-circle moment to him, where his kids start a golf business to get him free golf everywhere,” Ward said. “He’s still an excellent golfer, and I’ve never beaten him.” Ward co-owns the business with his brother, Tyler. The Clubhouse expects to receive its beer and wine license soon.
Other open businesses include La Creación Bistro, an upscale American-Puerto Rican fusion restaurant serving brunch, lunch, and dinner. Bonchon offers Korean pub fare like fried chicken and bulgogi. Cinnaholic sells cinnamon rolls with 20 frosting flavors. Brew Bar Self Pour and Urban Crunch Creamery Café share a space. Brew Bar is a self-serve taproom where customers pour local craft beers, wine, and frozen drinks from a tap wall. Urban Crunch Creamery serves hand-dipped ice cream, soft serve, specialty lattes, açaí bowls, and Swedish candies. Tampa Joe’s Restaurant and Sports Bar relocated from Anderson Road in Tampa. Pet Wants, a franchise owned by Nickole Davis, sells fresh dog and cat food, natural chews, and Natural Spaw products. It also has a dog bath and spa station. Headlines Barber Shop, a local chain with about 10 Tampa Bay-area locations, is also open.
The Hub will continue to add tenants. Saigon Pho, The Monk’s Indian Fusion Cuisine, and Island Grill are coming soon. The Landing Bar & Grill, a sports bar, is also in the queue. A dentist’s office is set to open soon.
The covered courtyard will host live DJs and family-friendly events. Markets and gatherings are scheduled for the third Friday of each month.
