Brainerd Warriors host SNOWcial fundraiser at Lake Shore resort
The combined high school alpine ski teams will hold a social event on Nov. 1 to raise funds and recruit sponsors before the season begins.

The Brainerd Warriors Alpine ski program will host its first annual SNOWcial on Nov. 1 at the Quarterdeck Resort and Restaurant in Lake Shore. The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. and serves as a social gathering for the community to support the student athletes.
Organizers plan to use the afternoon to share stories and discuss sponsorship opportunities. Attendees can bid on auction items and enjoy meals from the restaurant. A portion of the money collected will go directly to the alpine ski program.
The team includes student athletes from Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby-Ironton, and Pillager, along with other nearby districts. The event aims to connect current members with family, friends, alumni, and fans who want to learn about the coaches and athletes.
The Minnesota State High School League season starts on Nov. 9. Teams may begin competing on Nov. 12, though actual start dates depend on snow conditions. The state meet is set for Feb. 9 at Giant's Ridge Golf and Ski Resort in Biwabik.
