Florida fans planning their Saturday viewing will see the Gators and Georgia Bulldogs kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on ABC from Atlanta. The game marks the first time the two programs have met as ranked opponents since 2020. The venue is new: the matchup typically played in Jacksonville has moved to Atlanta this year.
Georgia enters with recent control of the series. The Bulldogs have won eight of the last 10 meetings and carry a five-game winning streak against Florida. The Gators have topped 30 points against Georgia just twice in the last 15 meetings. News 6 Sports Director Jamie Seh and Ryan Welch previewed the matchup on this week's Home Turf episode.
UCF's history is also on the show's agenda. Seh and Welch rank the Knights' best all-time victories and discuss where the program's win over BYU falls in that ranking. The episode also looks ahead to UCF's matchup with Baylor.
Coaching news from the Orlando Storm is part of the program as well. Head coach Anthony Becht joins Home Turf for a one-on-one segment. The show streams live on the News 6 Plus app and airs Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 11:35 p.m. on News 6.
The Saturday schedule includes other games involving Florida-based programs. Miami plays at North Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. FIU visits Liberty at 3:30 p.m. on CBSSN, and South Florida hosts UAB at noon on ESPNU. Florida State hosts Clemson at 7 p.m. on ACCN. Arizona State plays at BYU at 3:30 p.m. on FOX, and Ohio State visits Southern California at 7:30 p.m. on NBC and Peacock.
